Collaboration:
Project completed in collaboration with Cara Richardson, ECD at Tuckshop Agency
Honey Australia produces raw, organic honey sourced from hives across Central West NSW. Unpasteurised, unprocessed, and unfiltered, every jar preserves the full natural goodness of honey, just as nature intended.
The existing packaging felt dated and lacked shelf appeal. With competition in the category rapidly growing, standing out was no longer optional, it was essential. Our challenge was to create a bold design and messaging system that carved out a distinct, ownable space for the evolving Honey Australia range.
I close collaboration with Cara Richardson of Tuckshop Agency, we developed a bold new packaging range for Honey Australia. Instead of blending in with typical category cues, we leaned into expressive language and typographic design to create something unmistakably different.
The “Honey Bee” prefix became our voice. A playful, conversational entry point that invites connection while positioning Honey Australia as a brand unafraid to stand out through wit, charm, and intelligently brave design choices.
Designed to break the pattern, the bold visual and typographic style stands in stark contrast to the sea of sameness that defines the honey aisle.
The Manuka range represents a more premium expression of the brand, crafted from the finest small-batch honey. Its visual language signals luxury through bold, elegant typography. While the brand’s signature personality shines through in the use of bright, unexpected highlight tones.
