Alt. Leather is a world-class 100% bio-based leather alternative that turns waste and regenerative plants into a material designed for fashion, footwear, furnishings, and automotive. Zero petroleum plastics. Zero animal products. Ethically made.
With Alt. Leather set to revolutionise the fashion, footwear, furnishings, and automotive industries, we needed to create a brand to set them up for rapid-growth.
The identity is symbolic of stepping over the event horizon. This idea illustrates the tenacity of founder Tina Funder and her mission to challenge the industry, stepping into a world of unknown possibility.
With the use of highly impactful visual elements, imagery and typographic design, we created a visual platform that walks the line between the worlds of high-fashion and progressive, tech-based company.
All application channels are bold and graphic, ensuring that Alt. Leather stands apart from other startups in the sustainable space. The futuristic nuances in the design language talk to the technical and scientific nature of the product offering.
The ‘Made from Plants’ tagline is a prominent part of the visual language. As one of the pioneers in the bio-based textile industry, this is an important part of the brand story.
We were tasked with creating all communications from the website through to print and and sample books. We created a distinctive and visual style, ensuring that all collateral is cohesive and consistent.
